In 2016, we embarked on the idea to write a book together when Allison's son Ronan was 2 yrs old. Now 4 years later-after a couple of new jobs and career turns for both of us, an IVF baby who came yrs. behind schedule for Al, an at-home quarantine wedding for Mindy- a global pandemic mandated we sit our busy bums down to finally finish the book . As some of you may already know, working with family is not easy. Mindy will be the first one to tell you that there will be zero sequels. But maybe if we sell 1million copies, we could change her mind. Let's show her! Despite how long it took us to get here, we are glad that we went through this experience and that Ronan will have this book, as a tangible artifact of Allison's love for him and how his love for her changed her as a person forever.
As an experience strategist, Allison believes in the truth that people connect with one another through personal stories. She hopes this one will help some moms feel less alone while practicing motherhood and encourage them to own themselves in their journey. Allison finds delight in sneaking a midnight bowl of spicy ramen while everyone else is asleep. She lives with her husband, three sons and a rescue goldfish in Libertyville, Illinois.
Growing up, Mindy used to spend hours looking through her family’s collection of richly illustrated Korean fables. For years, she’s been yearning to revisit those indelible images that are etched deep in her memory. She is currently on a quest to find these lost books. In her spare time, she likes to read, jog and build miniature homes. Mindy is a graphic designer and illustrator who lives in Chicago, Illinois with her husband, Martin.
